Stolen by Shiloh Walker, Halloween Blog Hop

Halloween  the one time of year we enjoy being scared, we partake in scary movies, haunted houses and haunted trails. Let’s be honest though, when was the last time you were genuinely scared and not just a little, but the kind of scared that might have you clinching your bladder.

In Stolen by Shiloh Walker, Shay Morgan knows what it feels like to be tortured at the hands of a monster. Surely fate wouldn’t be as cruel as to bring her to the attention of another. Living her live secluded from the world with only a few friends, she thought herself safe. Only to have that illusion of safety shattered when someone begins targeting her and Elliot the man she loves.  Who can she trust when the monster seems to know all her secrets.

Bookswagger Danielle: The beginning of the book had me slightly confused, I wasn’t sure what was going on. I hate feeling like that and almost gave up but I’m glad I didn’t. I urge you to give it a chance as well. I liked the concept and could vividly image it and how I would feel. The romance portion was not the focal point for me even though I can’t say that it wasn’t well done. I just wasn’t as interested in their relationship as I was in finding out who was behind her angst.

Bookswagger Marcia: I am not a big suspense reader, for the most part I read them because someone else suggests them. I was dreading reading Stolen. I find in a lot of suspense romances, the romance is not the focus and I found it to be true in Stolen. I was so focused on the plot twists and surprises, I forgot to care about it. I wish I could tell you what happened, I really do but I read this in one night finishing at 1:00 am. Although I had to rate this four crowns instead of five because the heroine did work my nerves more than a little bit.

Aww, I love seeing the kids dressed up and seeing which way they will go cute or scary…My nephew is at the age where we are not allowed to pick his costume anymore…Maybe one day he will be over spiderman.

This is an odd thing to like about books, but I’ve noticed that I really enjoy books where the hero has been knocked down in the beginning and then they managed to fight their way out of it (i.e. Poison Study, Shadow Bound, etc.). I can see that same theme in this one so I am thinking that I would probably enjoy it 🙂 Thanks for the recommendation.
