Any Duchess Will DOAny Duchess Will Do (Spindle Cove, 4), Tessa Dare

Pauline Simms farmer’s daughter and barmaid is to become a Duchess or at least learn how to behave as one. Pauline is caught between Griffin York, the Duke of Halford who was abducted by his mother, brought to Spinster Cove to find a wife and produce an heir. The Duchess did not count on Griff choosing the most unsubtle woman he could find, Pauline. The Duchess will not let her son get out of a potential marriage and off to London they go with Pauline Simms in tow to become the Duke’s potential bride.

Unfortunately for Griff he did not count on falling for Pauline even though he has paid her to act deplorable he finds himself rescuing her unable to let her act the complete fool just to free himself.

Bookswagger Marcia: I really enjoyed this one. I was not sure how it was going to turn out being a farmer’s daughter and Duke. I am happy to report this one did not follow the used and abused trope of having Pauline be the long-lost daughter of some aristocrat. No she was truly the poor girl who had dreams and wanted to be able to support herself and her sister. I mean this book made me get teary eyed (no tears actually fell, lol) there was a scene where Griff had to make Pauline understand she was more important to him than a necklace and there was not a difference between them especially in the bedroom (or study in this case).

So to wrap this up: Poor girl gets taken to London, shows Duke what it is like to care about people and show ones feelings (like a commoner), HEA
