After Hours, Cara McKenna

CARA mCKENNAAfter Hours, Cara McKenna

Erin Coffey the responsible one, the good girl in her family of baby mamas and slacker mothers, she has spent her nursing career taking care of her grandmother, looking after her little sister and nephew. She finds herself working at a secure mental facility in a small town to be close to her sister. While there she falls for the quiet, tough Kelly.

Bookswagger Marcia: I loved this story it read true to life, After Hours is built around the characters Erin and Kelly and how they deal with life, work and their desire for each other. They are both trying to find a bit of happiness when the work week is over. There are not any wolves, witches or other paranormal creatures yet there is a buildup in this story that held me enthralled.

So: This is a story of people who are not rich, were or other, instead this is a story about the average Joe and girl from the wrong side of the tracks who find happiness in each other. But there are some great XXX scenes lol (just thought you would want to know).

I haven’t read this one, but I will definitely put it on my summer reading list. Doing lots of catching up this summer as I shuffle the kiddos between camps. Lots of reading while I wait.

This sounds like a nice change, even though I do love my paranormal men. I would love to read this, especially if it gives me my HEA. To have two normal people fight to succeed, each having to struggle to overcome life’s obstacles, yet finding sweet love (getting some hot, hot sex too) in the midst of this, certainly makes for a lovely and worthy tale. michelle_willms@yahoo.com

I like the idea of this story. Having the characters be “average” people is always better and I can connect with the characters better

I work in the schools, so I get more free time in the summer, but we moved this summer, so I’m spending this one job searching and working part time. No vacation for me!

    Thanks!
