Bullied in her youth for being ugly, Gugu Brown is obsessed with beauty. Now, the queen of the cosmetics industry, she is a notorious boss that no one wants to cross. Gugu is living her best life, but she has a secret that could topple her empire.

Sin Maddox is enamored with Gugu and is determined to make her his. There’s just one problem. Sin is deceased and resides in hell. Their love is forbidden, but he refuses to abide by the rules.

Gugu is given a second chance to do things the right way and claim the love of her life. Will she be able to change her villainous ways and claim the Happily Ever After she craves? Find out in Untangled and discover that pretty hurts, but love heals.

The cover was too gorgeous to pass up.

Previous too Untangled I had never read this author before. I am glad I gave this novella a chance. Such a unique read and as a novella an easy way to get in and out, if it were not a good one. But maannnn, I really enjoyed Untangled. As you can see this is book 9, I was still able to jump in without issue and understand the magic that allowed the crazy things to transpire to move the story forward.

Loren did a wonderful job of making me feel for the heroine Gugu in the beginning and hate her as well, I was like come on now! I was not sure if she is deserved a HEA. I had to keep thinking about the little girl with pennies in her loafers while everyone else had dimes because homegirl became a B for real.

Whew, it worked out though. I was on team Gugu again and I was super happy she redeemed herself. This little rollercoaster of a novella has me wanting to read more of the series just to see how the authors of the other titles fared.
