My Indulgent Reads (Indulgent Blog Hop)

I know we all love romance but have any of you ever stumbled upon a genre or subgenre of romance that made you say whaaa. I cannot believe I actually like this. For example I am loving spanking and domestic discipline romantic reads. I was shocked I enjoyed these stories but I was wheeled in years ago with a freebie on allromanceebooks.com a collection of short stories put together by blushing books publishing. Now I consider myself a fan and these are one of my romantic indulgences.

This weekend I closed myself away in my bedroom to de-stress from a hard week and lost myself in Reinventing Ivy by Kimber Davis a spanking story about a woman whose father is dying and is leaving her half of his pub in Scotland. The American Ivy has to travel to Scotland to give the father she never met the ultimate diss by refusing to accept his inheritance something his surrogate son Stuart will not allow. He takes her in hand for her bratty behavior literally.  After reading Ivies story I lost myself in Lacey’s Sweet Revenge by Joanne Locker. Lacey faces her nemesis Lucas and the cause of her failed engagement when she meets him for a business deal not knowing who he is. Lucas knows he is attracted to her and even though she has changed since they last saw each other, which was with her over his lap getting a spanking she still pushes his buttons.

    Nothing I read ever really makes me that way …. if I read something I find interesting, I have a tendency to just go out there and experience it — for example, you said you read some spanking stories and now consider them an indulgence — I go to Shadow Lane & other spanking parties and experience the scene when the mood strikes….ool

    My main indulgence is a hot bubble bath, dark chocolate, a good, dry white wine and a good book (ideally,all at the same time) followed by a massage!

      I have never went out there and tried it wouldn’t know where to start. This genre still a indulgence bc so new to me the authors are not familiar and spending money on a unknown…. I’m a bath girl too I want a claw foot tub!

    They both sound very intriguing. One genre that I didn’t think that I would like is erotica. When I was younger, I tried to read a few and just could not get into them. Now, I devour them! 🙂
