Bookswagger Marcia: This was a tough one for me, I made it to 88 percent but I did not finish. I love this author and this is my first PNR read by her (she does the bomb sci-fi romance). Meisha is a tough cookie who spent her life preparing for the Japanese mafia her father ticked off to try and seek retribution so she was not trying to hear it when the hero Lajos Farkas tries to convince her it is shifters they are dealing with. It took almost the entire 88 percent and her getting caught by the a-hole shifter in charge for her to believe it. Which is where I of tapped out.
Straight to the Swagger: Read like an urban fantasy, based on Meisha hard as nails, ready to jump in and use her fighting skills to take on anyone. The romance took a backseat to the action hence the urban fantasy vibe.
I bought book one, have not read it yet but the bestie Trudy seems pretty interesting so I am not done with the series, plan to dive back in.

I was waiting for book 2 to release because in book 1 they didn’t reveal who was robbing the company blind. A freaking cliffhanger! Grrr! :/ Meisha was Trudy’s crazy BFF in book 1.
I knew when Meisha and Lajos first met in book 1, they were destined for each other but they would fight it all the way. So it seems we are here. I’m looking forward to reading the second book.

Oh no! Not a cliff hanger. Well in book two we do get to see the bad guys. I do plan on reading one, Trudy story just sounded so interesting. But I really tried with Meisha I think I just got tired of her denial it was a bit much for me because she was such a tough, smart chick but it made me start to not like her. But I really enjoy this author so it is def not enough to keep me from diving back in.
