Assigned the role of keeper of her older sister, Calla, Bluebell Strong has spent her life cleaning up messes. Frustrated, unappreciated, and repressed, Blue drifts away from her family. Suddenly, a jail sentence lands Calla in prison. She then becomes her nephew, Bolton’s guardian. Pulled headfirst back into the life of the Kings of Chaos M.C. she struggles to find a balance between who she must be and who she’s always wanted to be. Bolton’s father, Shadow, the man she crushed on since she was a teen, returns from prison. These back to back events forces her to choose between duty and happiness.

After serving three years in jail for a brother, Kings of Chaos enforcer, Shadow is done denying himself. The silent man, known for making problems disappear spent years holding onto a secret that kept him from the one thing he wants most, Blue. Beneath the hardened exterior of this Warrior, rests a heart that beats for one woman. Laying all his cards on the table, he risks upsetting the balance among the Strongs and the club to complete the family he always wanted.

This one made me tear up a bit, there was that much going on.

Let me start by saying this one started out slow. But invest the time it will be well worth it. Blue is a woman who wanted out of the gritty MC world but we all know how family is, they have a way of keeping you connected. Unfortunately for Blue her family is keeping her connected to the MC world and now she has to deal with her sisters ish.

This story contains an evil sister, shady family, surprised twists and I cannot spoil it but the only reason this is not a five star read is because of the slow start.

Although Blue is young the love interest Shadow is not, he has some mileage on him which makes for a hot contrast and his past provides interesting conflict to the story. There will be plenty of tea to sip. When he gets out, he goes looking for his woman and he is ready to handle it, you hear me. The plot is interesting because you have a heroine who was raised in the life and the respect issue with her father because Shadow is walking a delicate line, going from one sister to another. It made for a good read.

I am looking forward to book two Dixie and had to take the rewind to read book one.

Lol, I know! It is hard to find good books, but I have been doing okay in certain genres lately. I just need to do better in my scifi and spanking, lol. I hope you like this one though. it was like a lifetime movie, or at least when they used to be good.
